Scotland's Next Generation

Scotland's Next Generation

Scotland’s Next Generation is a life-changing programme for disadvantaged young people in Scotland.

Through circumstances beyond their control, these young people face multiple challenges in life and don't have the financial means to access the same opportunities as their peers.

It's time to give them the opportunity to shine.

We take them on a journey outside their comfort zone. We take them to places they have never been to before.

From rowing across lochs and camping in the wild to scrambling up waterfalls and hiking in the mountains.

We use adventure in the wild to teach them the most important lesson they could ever learn: to believe in themselves.

Skills for Life

Young people aged 15-18 take part in the 19-day Outward Bound Skills for Life Award at our Loch Eil centre in the Highlands. Before the course, they meet up as a group with an instructor to prepare. They also have the support of a course mentor, who will meet them before and after their course.

Help young people in Scotland live a life worth living.

Give young people the opportunity to develop the skills they need to be successful at school, work and beyond.

Help shape them into strong and curious young people, prepared for the challenges of life and ready to contribute to a fairer and stronger society in Scotland.
