Our places
We’ve got six residential centres across the UK.
Each one is set in a wild natural environment, chosen to help young people step away from the everyday and discover something new.
Aberdyfi
Where Outward Bound began, on the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia), Wales. A place to build confidence by the coast, where young people meet challenge head-on and surprise themselves in the process.
Ogwen Cottage
At the foot of the spectacular Glyderau mountains in Eryri (Snowdonia), Wales. For those ready to push their limits in serious mountain terrain, Ogwen is small, intense and unforgettable.
Ullswater
On the waters edge, right in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Our biggest centre, where adventure feels expansive and every young person can find their place, on the lake, in the hills and within the group.
Howtown
Our newest centre, surrounded by the towering fells of the Lake District. A fresh space for discovery, where young people take the lead, make new connections and grow in confidence.
Eskdale
Far away from a desk - career journeys begin in Eskdale Valley, Lake District. Set in wild surroundings, this is where apprentices and graduates develop the mindset and skills to thrive at work.
Loch Eil
Scotland’s one and only Outward Bound Centre, right in the Highlands. A Highlands experience like no other, where remote adventures help young people find direction and feel part of something bigger.
