This role is a great opportunity to play an active part in a busy finance team. You will be part of a team that looks after the day-to-day operations. As Payroll Officer, you will manage the payroll process for almost 400 people.

Key responsibilities

As Payroll Officer, you’ll manage the payroll process and support the rest of the Finance Team. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end payroll processes, including calculating salaries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Handling pension contributions, auto-enrolment, and liaising with pension providers.
  • Addressing payroll-related queries from employees promptly and professionally.
  • Preparing and submitting statutory reports, such as P11Ds, P60s, and year-end submissions.
  • Tax and NI Compliance and other finance administration.

about you

We're looking for a positive, proactive problem-solver with a professional approach. A team player who is willing to muck in with whatever needs doing.

The skills we're looking for are:

  • Relevant payroll qualification and/or experience.
  • Good technology skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Experience in wider finance administration is welcome but not necessary.
