BRING OUTDOOR ADVENTURE INTO YOUR SCHOOL
What if your pupils could build confidence, curiosity and connection - without leaving the playground?
School Adventures bring the same purposeful, instructor-led learning you’d find on our residentials, right to your grounds. Designed around your timetable, this is outdoor learning that’s inclusive, impactful - and built for every pupil.
For pupils in Years 5 and 6 (primary) and Years 7 to 9 (secondary).
Currently only available in schools across North West England, including West Yorkshire, Lancashire, Merseyside and Cheshire.

WHY CHOOSE SCHOOL ADVENTURES?
The Intent
We bring the spirit of Outward Bound into school grounds, making powerful outdoor learning possible for every pupil, with no need to travel. It’s a chance to get outside, build confidence, and develop skills like teamwork, communication and resilience. And because it happens in their own setting, it’s accessible to all.
The Impact
Pupils return to class more self-aware, more resilient and more ready to take part. They leave with greater confidence, stronger social skills and a clearer sense of themselves. And for many, it’s just the beginning - opening up new possibilities in school, in life and in the outdoors.
The Implementation
This isn’t just time outside. Our instructors lead structured adventures designed to challenge, connect and inspire. Each session starts by linking school-based tasks to real-world challenges and our wild locations - often using VR. Throughout, we blend physical activity with moments of reflection. It’s how pupils make sense of what they’ve learned - and how it stays with them. We call this the Transfer of Learning.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN A SCHOOL ADVENTURE
Learning Pod – a weatherproof outdoor base for group discussion, reflection and shared lunch.
Adventure challenges – high-energy activities across your school grounds to build teamwork and resilience.
VR journey to the wild – explore the landscapes of our UK centres without leaving school. Reflection and review – guided sessions to embed learning and support personal growth.
We recommend groups of around 15 pupils, but we can work flexibly with up to 30 per session. You can choose a full-day experience with 15–30 pupils, or split into morning and afternoon sessions to work with 30–60 pupils across the day
