Pre-course information for parents and guardians
For many parents or guardians this may be the first time your child is taking part in a residential course. Here you’ll find all the essential information you’ll need in order to get your child ready for their Outward Bound adventure.
What do participants need to take with them?

We have created a downloadable kit list for parents/guardians, with guidance on what to bring and what to leave at home; along with a frequently asked questions fact sheet aimed at participants, to help you both feel prepared for their Outward Bound adventure.
All medical information will be treated in strictest confidence.
If a participant suffers, or has suffered, from one of the following conditions a supplementary medical questionnaire must be downloaded and returned completed.
The information provided on this form will be treated as CONFIDENTIAL and is essential in order to enable The Outward Bound Trust to provide appropriate medical help and support, if required.
Please ensure relevant supplementary medical forms are completed and returned to your group leader at least four weeks prior to the start of your course.
Please complete one of the forms below - by clicking on the centre the participant will be attending, if you wish to advise our staff of confidential issues which may affect behaviour whilst at The Trust.
This information is always treated in the strictest confidence and will be read by the appropriate Head of Centre. They may then contact you for a further discussion.
Alternatively you can print the confidential form complete it and post to The Outward Bound Trust centre where the participant's course is being held with the subject line: Confidential information – participant name – date and title of their course. Centre details found below.
