Keith Newman - Eskdale, The Lake District, 1981
I was on course E311 at Eskdale and was in Scott patrol. This 3 week course changed my life - it gave me confidence, leadership experience and I had a great time.
The 24 hour solo was a time to reflect all alone in a mosquito ridden valley and also a chance to survive alone. How many people can say that they have never spoken a word in 24 hours!
