Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Trial

We're working with the EEF as part of a vital research trial that could shape how society supports pupils at risk of disengagement. In 2026/27, 1,584 Year 9 pupils from 66 secondary schools across England will take part in a national trial to evaluate the power of adventure learning.

The Outward Bound Award 2026

The Outward Bound Award exists to recognise young people who have taken that leap and come back changed. This is your chance to nominate a young person whose outdoor adventure experience sparked confidence, courage or belief that anything is possible.

75 Years of Women and Girls

In 1951, Outward Bound ran its first adventure course for young women at Eskdale.

Seventy five years on, thousands have stepped into the wild and discovered what they’re capable of. Now it’s time to pass that opportunity on.
