Real change starts outside the classroom

When schools and Outward Bound work together, powerful things happen.

Young people who struggle with confidence or who’ve fallen behind in the classroom start to see what they’re capable of. Many arrive with low self-esteem, low aspirations, and limited opportunity, but they leave with new skills, stronger relationships, and a renewed sense of what’s possible.

Whether it’s pupils learning to work together again after lockdown or individuals facing up to challenge for the first time, these case studies show how outdoor learning builds more than memories. It builds momentum.
