The Perfect Gift For UK Teens
No doubt the latest gadgets, must have fashion items and celebrity crazes are taking up space on the Christmas lists of most teenagers you know this year. For the majority of parents, the wish list for their teenage sons and daughters is rather different. Their list often includes increased confidence, self-belief, communication, team working and resilience - skills expected from our modern day teens throughout their journey from education to employment.
Over the last 75 years The Outward Bound Trust has worked with over 1 million young people, delivering our unique approach to learning and adventure in the wild that has proven educational, psychological, health-related and social benefits.
THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING
There are so many challenges facing young people today, we work in close partnership with Schools and large UK employers to provide opportunities to develop those much sought after soft skills, which many young people can lack.
In response we developed a unique course, The Outward Bound Skills for Life Award, a challenging and exciting 19 day adventure available at our centres based in The Lakes, The Highlands and Snowdonia. Designed specifically for 15-19 year olds, the course focuses on building confidence, independence and developing key employability skills whilst embarking on incredible journeys across land & water and making lifelong friends from around the world.
