EducationInvestor Awards Supports The Trust

By Natalie Harling, Head of Education Business Development at The Outward Bound Trust.

In autumn 2016 EducationInvestor Magazine kindly selected The Trust as the benefitting charity for its Awards ceremony which took place on 16th November in central London.  Monies raised during the evening have gone to enable more young people within Great Britain to participate in an Outward Bound® programme.  We are extremely grateful to both EducationInvestor Magazine and to all those who kindly participated in the fundraising on the actual night for their support of our work.  Thank you very much on behalf of all at The Trust.

The EducationInvestor Awards were launched in 2010 to recognise achievement, innovation and to promote excellence in the business of learning.  These highly respected annual awards are well attended by those within the education sector and take place on 16th November at the Lancaster Hotel in London.

This autumn saw the start of our 75th year of unlocking potential in young people through learning and adventure in the wild.  It is a fundamental part of what we do to ensure that Outward Bound® courses continue to be accessible to as many young people as possible, irrespective of their financial circumstance.  We work hard to develop partnerships with schools, youth organisations, local authorities and employers to ensure our courses equip young people with the core skills they need to become more confident, effective and capable at school, college and in the workplace.

Thanks to the support of our generous donors and the kind support of partnerships, such as EducationInvestor Awards 2016, we are able to continue to deliver highly impactful programmes to an ever increasing number of young people each year.”
