We're giving away an amazing 19-day summer adventure worth £1,699 to one lucky young person (aged 15-19) in 2018. 

THE PRIZE

A place on our life-shaping Skills for Life Award. At Outward Bound Aberdovey, on the stunning Welsh coast from Monday 30 July - Friday 17 August 2018. This is an opportunity for your child to join young people from across the country and around the world to experience an adventure of a life-time.

To equip them with the clarity, confidence and skills to realise their ambitions, achieve their life-goals and leave any worries behind.

Remember, transport is not included in the prize. If you win you will need to be able to transport your child to one of our coach transfer points in Birmingham or Manchester or directly to Aberdovey.

The competition closes on 04 December 2017 and a winner will be selected at random. Runners-up will be notified of the winner and added to The Trust's mailing list to receive news, offers and updates regarding summer adventures.

The Skills for Life Award

Going above and beyond any other Outward Bound experience, the Award is about reaching outside of comfort zones, discovering what we're capable of and sharing that journey with new friends from across the country and around the world.

Participants can expect 2 overnight expeditions, 1:1 coaching, multiple group activities, a report from their dedicated instructor and memories to last a life-time. 

The prize

  1. The winner will recieve a reservation for a young person on the all-inclusive Outward Bound Skills for Life Award taking place at Aberdovey from 30 July 2018
  2. The young person must be aged 15-19 at time of participation and be prepared to participate for the full duration of the Award (19-days), from the 30 July-17 August 2018
  3. The prize is available to anyone in the UK and overseas
  4. The prize cannot be used to take money off the value of any existing booking or be sold on to someone else
  5. Transport costs are not included within the prize, however a free coach transfer service to the centre is provided from Manchester or Birmingham.

This Promotion is not open to employees of The Trust or their immediate family

Entries must be submited on Facebook or via The Outward Bound Trust official website. Entries received via email will not count.

No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are not received for any reason.

Entries must be submitted by midnight on Sunday 04 December 2017. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

The winner will be the entrant(s) selected at random. By entering the competition you agree to subsequent promotion if selected as our winner. Your name may be used in online communications or other promotion.

The winner will be contacted directly using the information provided in the interactive form. They will be informed no later than Friday 01 December 2017. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Winners must be available during the denoted time period of the Award from 30 July - 17 August 2018.

There is no fitness test required to enter the Skills for Life Award however, in order to participate you must complete a medical form in advance. Should you indicate a condition that would prevent your participation in the Award, The Trust reserves the right to select an alternative winner. 

No prize or part of a prize is exchangeable for cash, tickets or services.

If the advertised prize becomes unavailable for whatever reason, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize.
