Equip UK

As owners of the Rab and Lowe Alpine brands, Equip Outdoor Technologies UK pride themselves on designing exceptional products that meet the needs of their active customers. Their passion for the outdoors and adventurous spirit sets the foundation for what they do. And they encourage their teams to thrive and be part of their success.

Like Outward Bound, they share a passion for encouraging more young people to experience the power, freedom, mental and physical benefits of the great outdoors, so we're delighted to have them as partners. Together we take young people on a journey of learning and adventure in the wild to help them realise just what they are capable of achieving in life.

Introducing young people to the outdoors
550x750 Equip David Nieper thumbs up 2022

Equip UK recently sponsored a course for 48 young people from David Nieper Academy, located close to their HQ in Derbyshire. Ably supported by four Equip UK employees working as Ambassadors to support the young people on their experience.

The young people raised their aspirations by taking on various outdoor challenges in Snowdonia, including gorge walking, climbing, and cooking their dinner in the wilderness. These activities taught them many new skills which will help them in school and later life, such as communication, resilience, self-belief and working with new people.

Seeing the students grow was amazing. I saw someone transform from the shyest in the group, to leading the charge in an afternoon. Where else can that happen, but the outdoors?"
