Factsheet - First Challenge: Y5-6; KS 2
This course may well be the first time away from home in a shared residential environment. Tackling new, exciting and at times demanding challenges in a supportive environment. Taking responsibility and learning to become more independent are themes on the course. Being prepared to take part fully and overcome apprehensions with the reward of achievement and an increased confidence in future situations.
Sharing, fun and a sense of being part of an achieving team is part of the course, giving and receiving support from others.
Many schools will use the opportunity to use the course to support classroom work pre or post course perhaps in experiencing first hand the natural environment . Creative work using the natural environment and stimulation for creative writing.
