Outdoor Learning Themes

 We are an educational charity and the UK’s leading provider of bursary-assisted outdoor learning courses - over 60% of our participants are financially supported by an Outward Bound bursary.

Our approach is based on an experiential learning process with learning, adventure, challenge, and of course fun, at the heart of it. And with four residential centres located in beautiful wilderness environments across the UK, participants have doorstep access to the lochs, mountains, seas, estuaries, fells and crags on a daily basis. In Scotland The Trust has a unique outdoor learning provision as it also runs a non-residential venue - Metro, in Glasgow - which is ideally suited to participants for whom a residential setting is not appropriate.
