Locations
At The Outward Bound Trust, choosing your venue isn’t about choosing a ‘centre’ but a base from which to start your journey. All of your adventures will take place in the spectacular wild environments surrounding each location. (If you’re taking part in one of our expedition courses, you won’t even set foot in the building when you arrive!)
So all you have to do is choose which environment you’d like to explore first, because we can guarantee you’ll want to come back and discover the others on your next adventure. Whether you’re into mountains, lakes, seas or all three, there is the perfect Outward Bound experience waiting for you.
We have a coach transfer service from major airports and railway stations so our stunning locations are easy to get to

Each centre has different styles of accommodation, with a mixture of dormitory-style rooms for four to ten people, some having en-suite facilities. We also have student lounges, drying rooms and a small shop – as well as all that outside space to relax in.
Scotland - The Highlands
Loch Eil
The centre is situated on the edge of Loch Eil near Fort William, with views of Ben Nevis. Loch Eil is close to the magnificent natural environments of Glencoe, the hills of Ardgour and Loch Linnhe, to name but a few.

Wales - Snowdonia
Aberdovey
The centre stands above the picturesque fishing village of Aberdovey, overlooking the Dovey Estuary. It has easy access to the mountain ranges of mid-Wales and has its own water front activity centre, providing an ideal base for a whole range of water-based adventures and challenges.

England - The Lake District
Ullswater
