Twelve years in learning and development, a keen sailor and climber with extensive apprentice and team development experience. A dynamic and energetic trainer, with an impressive portfolio of academic credentials and client experience. Specialising in graduate development and managing organisational change, Dave is interested in the benefits of coaching and has over 12 years’ experience of delivering experiential learning.

A ‘Seven Summiteer’, James has worked with The Trust for ten years and specialises in non-technical key skills development. A former Business Development Manager with over 6 years’ learning and development experience, Tony is a keen sailor and member of the local mountain rescue team. A coaching specialist and keen fell runner with eleven years teaching, development and outdoor industry experience.

An apprentice learning and development specialist, Ian has over 11 years’ commercial experience and is a highly qualified caving instructor. Fifteen years’ industry experience, Sean excels in delivering team and leadership development programmes to senior management staff. A skilled mentor and specialist of apprentice and graduate development, Stuart is experienced in working with clients from a wide range of industries.

Five years’ outdoor industry experience, John is passionate about paddlesports and furthering his academic knowledge of outdoor education. Tim has a calm and confident approach to course delivery and has a wide range of technical and process skills along with 8 years’ development experience. A business-focused practitioner who has experience of working at senior level within the public and private sector, Martin is a skilled adventure racer who specialises in managing change and customer service skills development.
Rachel Tomkins Sue Carter Derek Queenan

Strong background in customer service, Rachel has worked with The Trust for 4 years and is an experienced climber. An apprentice development specialist who is a keen paddler and is interested in neuro linguistic programming to enhance performance and effectiveness. Holds an impressive portfolio of teaching and development qualifications, a former apprentice who is highly skilled in leading mountaineering experiences.

A creative and adventurous practitioner with strong academic credentials who has worked with The Trust for over 8 years. A confident and highly experienced development coach, Laura enjoys paddlesports and is passionate about using coaching as a learning and development tool. An apprentice and team development specialist, experienced in delivering high adventure programmes thanks to his experience of Arctic exploration and his passion for overseas expeditions.

An innovative practitioner, with over four years’ experience at The Trust who is keen to incorporate the latest learning and development theory into his programmes. Specialises in working with apprentices from technical trades having enjoyed an extensive career as a technician with the RAF.  Dave is also currently studying Outdoor Education at postgraduate level. Background in Further Education, Nev is an apprentice learning and development practitioner with a particular interest in the transfer of learning process.

Skilled in developing tailor-made programmes for apprentice and graduate clients, Ian has ten years’ experience in learning and development and is a volunteer for his local RNLI. A former Outdoor Education lecturer, Alan has worked for The Trust since 2006 and is our Mountain Sports technical advisor. A qualified Chartered Secretary, Bob specialises in team building and development and enjoys taking part in overseas mountaineering expeditions.

A keen mountaineer and paddler, Luke is also passionate about the positive effects of outdoor experiences and has worked internationally in learning and development for over 5 years. An energetic and enthusiastic practitioner, Jen is currently working towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership and Management. A former marketer who has extensive business experience, Dave enjoys working with apprentices and using his passion for the outdoors to enable them to achieve their objectives.
Justin Hale Emma Johnson Sarah Brierley

Experienced in working with delegates with a wide range of abilities and from a range of trade backgrounds, Justin is a dynamic and resilient practitioner who has worked with The Trust for 3 years. A climbing and mountain bike enthusiast who employs her wide experience of working with young people to deliver effective apprentice development programmes. Having spent 8 years with The Trust, Sarah has accrued extensive client experience and has successfully delivered a range of key development programmes.
Sean Comiskey Dennis Harvey Steve Pittock

A motivational, dynamic practitioner and keen traveller who focuses on improving self-awareness to improve workplace performance. One of The Trust’s most highly qualified mountaineers, Dennis has 20 years’ experience of working in higher and outdoor education settings. Former Mountain Rescue leader with the RAF, Steve has 25 years' development experience and enjoys mountaineering and climbing.

A former consultant and project manager within the IT industry, Andy has an extensive understanding of business issues and needs, which he builds into every development programme at The Trust.
