Events Executive

Salary: £25,000 per annum plus bonus
Based: Waterloo, London
37.5 hours per week 

The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity providing adventure-based, outdoor learning for young people from six centres across the UK.  

The Events Executive will join the Fundraising team to manage and deliver The Rusty Rally Events and support on other events for Major Donors, Corporate partners and Individuals. This is an exciting time to join an innovative and expanding team. 

What the role involves

You will work closely with The Events Manager to deliver The Rusty Rally events. This is an overseas driving event aimed at Major Donors and Corporate partners and has proved very successful in its first two years. You will have overall responsibility for the research, planning, budgeting and delivery of The Rusty Rally.

Who the role would suit

This role would suit you if you are looking to join a hard-working, high-achieving, fun and innovative team. You will have experience of organising bespoke events from start to finish, with a very high attention to detail. Our events are primarily for Major Donors and we expect them to be of a very high standard. You will be given the opportunity to develop new events so research and negotiation skills are useful in this role.   

The team you would join

The Outward Bound Trust employs 250 people, mostly based at our educational centres across the UK. The Fundraising team comprises of 15 people, 11 of whom are based in London. We work very closely as a team, with Events being a core way of raising funds from Major Donors and Corporate partners. The Events team will grow from 2 to 3 people, delivering around 15 events a year. We pride ourselves on innovation and creating high-value events for our small but very dedicated supporter base.
