Essex OBA
About us
Essex OBA offers bursaries to young people (normally to 16 - 24 yrs) from Essex to attend Outward Bound courses. The Association aims to support those who could benefit most from the opportunity and who would not be able to attend without financial assistance. We aim to help young people within the County of Essex, Southend and Thurrock Unitary Authorities.
Our membership consists of people who have had their own lives shaped by The Outward Bound Trust as well as a wide representation from local schools, youth services, social care, Connexions, the police, plus interested organisations and individuals who just want to help.
The Association aims to:
• Promote The Outward Bound Trust in Essex
• Raise funds
• Identity, select and support participants
