In the true spirit of Outward Bound®

Three representatives from Coca-Cola have accomplished a once in a life time achievement by skiing the last geographical degree to the North Pole.

In April this year Stephan Wade, James Eadie and Nick Hunter spent 10 days battling the elements and ploughing through ice ridges in minus 25 degree temperatures across moving ice plates to reach the North Pole, and all this on a pair of skis! The 3 brave challengers took on this task and in the process have raised an astonishing £35k for The Outward Bound Trust.

The trip took more than 6 months of preparation, planning, training and fundraising, followed by the toughest challenge of all, which was to spend over 8 hours a day skiing, whilst pulling a heavy sled full of equipment over some of the most hostile elements on the planet.

The pictures demonstrate some of the challenges faced by the team, for example, pressure ridges, rubble fields or even skiing over newly frozen thin ice!

We are very proud that Stephan, James and Nick took on this challenge in the true spirit of an Outward Bound® participant and are exceptionally grateful for them and all they have achieved in raising a wonderful some of money for the Trust.
