The London Youth Rat Race
The Outward Bound Trust and The Rat Race have partnered to create an adventure specifically designed for 14 – 18 year olds as part of this year’s London Rat Race - taking part on the 27th & 28th September 2008!
The London Rat Race is the ULTIMATE Urban Adventure race. It challenges participants to cycle, run, abseil and kayak through the heart of London using their own navigation techniques.
Further Information on The London Youth Rat Race includes:
- 3 people per team. This must include 1 adult (could either be a parent or teacher) and two participants aged between 14-18 years.
- The 2 part Course over 2 days includes biking for up to 50km; kayaking for approx 1 - 2km; walking or running for 10km (not at the same time) plus lots of other exhilarating adventure and navigational challenges, including abseiling and orienteering.
- Large parts of this youth course are the same as for the adults in the Rat Race. So you will need to be up to the challenge! Special short-cuts feature to ensure you can take the “scenic route” if required!
- The course costs £99 (inc VAT) per person. This includes a refresher course on rope skills and kayaking during the day of Saturday 27th September, plus entry into the Mean Streets event on the evening of Saturday 27th Saturday and the Adventure event on Sunday 28th September.
- You must be ready to HAVE SOME FUN!
